Hope you're enjoying your weekend, and for those in Melbourne-you're long weekend! I was lucky enough to have the day off uni today so I thought I would make the most of it and edit aspects of Beautiful yet basic. As you can see, I have a different background. I loved the one I had previously, but thought it was time for a change. If you have a blog and would like an interesting background, check out shabbyblogs.com-they have so many different backgrounds to choose from as well as other fancy things for your blog! :)
In other news, I would like to apologise for my delay in posting the pigments tutorial with a wet brush. I had a really cool look using my copper pigments and somehow I can't find the pics anywhere! But do not fear! I will be using those pigments very shortly. I have many more looks, which are ready to be posted, so I'll post those first.
Today, I wanted to show you a look I created a few months ago. My brother had recently turned 18, so we thought we would celebrate by going out to dinner. I thought it was the perfect opportunity to dress up and do my make up-as well as wear an ultra pretty headband!
As you can see, golds and purples are the main colours in today's look. It was super easy to achieve as well!
If you apply the light gold colour on the inner corner, the darker gold on the middle of lid and the purple on the outer corner, you should be able to achieve this look. You can also apply black eye shadow on the outer most part of the eye, to further intensify the look.
This look is probably more appropriate for night as black eye liner helps the purple stand out!
Don't forget to apply the same colours on the lower lash line, as this will complete the look and frame the eye.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read-I really appreciate it!
Melissa xox.
